The new Cumberland County Technical Education Center represents a $69.8 million state-of-the-art landmark school project. Managed and funded by the Cumberland County Improvement Authority, the 200,000 square foot academic structure was also considerably supported by the New Jersey Department of Education.
This historic economic development resource will not only provide integrated and innovative pathways for learning, the high school will complete the acclaimed workforce development model centrally located on the County’s college campus which includes a new Workforce Development Center. Together, along with the Cumberland County College, these three facilities form an Economic Triangle. Cohesive and effective job training resources and coordinated programs under this model are designed to advance and better prepare local workforce members.
Perhaps no investment in the future of Cumberland County is as valuable as this one, which after years of conceptualizing such a monumental investment – the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders were gratified to see completed. The school enables Cumberland County to ensure a continuous and plentiful pool of high level, skilled workers.
